AKROTIRI CRICKET GROUND

Akrotiri is the RAF base in Cyprus. Inside the complex is a large sports field for football, rugby and cricket. The cricket outfield is full size with a recently laid Notts pitch over a concrete base. It is the best ground in Cyprus at the moment. The home of WSBA CC.

To reach Akrotiri the simplest route coming from LIMASSOL, is turn off the motorway at the exit marked to Kolossi, continue along the road until a road to the right signpost Akrotiri. Turn and follow that road to a T junction, turn right for Akrotiri village and continue passed the village until the gate at the Akkrotiri base.

From PAPHOS turn off the motorway at Episkopi exit, follow the old coast road passed Kurion and the Kurion beach turn off on your right and take the next right turn marked Akrotiri.

To get through the gate at the base your name will have to be on the team list presented to security earlier in the week. If your name is not on that list there is no point in coming.
