In an intensely contested game, Kazepis overpowered Epi Lions through immense power hitting prowess and made a serious statement to regain the league title.
Faced with a daunting task of chasing 220 runs in 35 overs, Kazepis openers Waqar (54) and Umair (64) made mockery of Epi Lions bowling attack and helped their team ease past the target in the 27th over with 5 wickets in hand.
Only Thomas with 4 wickets was able to pose any challenge to the Kazepis batsmen who were aided by 49 extras.
Earlier, Epi Lions were put in first by Kazepis stand-in captain Usman and they were guided to the total of 219/7 in 45 overs by Thomas (33) and Andy Mulkern (31), with captain Azan Baig again leading from the front with a brilliant knock of 62. Epi Lions got a boost of 45 runs through extras conceded by wayward Kazepis bowling.
Both teams were guilty of poor fielding and dropped more than half a dozen catches in each innings.
