School Cricket Scheme

The scheme is open to all registered schools in The Republic of Cyprus with the aim to increase the number of participants in the game between May and June 2022.

 

What is available and what is required:

 

1) Girls Cricket Six a Side Softball (minimum 6 teams per school)

  • What is required from the school? Each six a side team to play min of 5 games in the school. All games scores to be recorded properly in the cricket score sheet and submitted to Cyprus Cricket Association.
  • Cyprus Cricket Association can send one of its official or volunteer to record the scores or assist on the day of the games. (if required by the school)
  • Cyprus Cricket Association will provide winners and runners up medals for inter-school competition.
  • Winning team will play in Cyprus Cricket Association pancyprian school competition as representative team from the school.
  • Cyprus Cricket Association to provide Samsung Galaxy (or similar) Tablet (to 1 x teacher per school) - pre-loaded with Criiio Curriculum and various other cricket resources.

 

2) Boys or Girls Cricket 11 a Side Hardball (min 1 team)

  • What is required from the school? School to play min of 5 games against any other school or against a CCA select XI. All games scores to be recorded properly in the cricket score sheet and submitted to Cyprus Cricket Association.
  • Cyprus Cricket Association to provide hard ball cricket equipment (on loan) to the school on match / training days. (if required by the school)
  • Cyprus Cricket Association can send one of its official or volunteer to record the scores or assist on the day of the games. (if required by the school)
  • Cyprus Cricket Association to provide Samsung Galaxy (or similar) Tablet (to 1 x teacher per school) - pre-loaded with Criiio Curriculum and various other cricket resources or hard-ball cricket set for the school (to be provided in September).
